An Affair, Mostly.
You know those magical nights when everything just clicks?
I had one of those recently at Mostly, a fabulous restaurant in Bali that just celebrated its three-year anniversary—in spectacular style. The night was nothing short of exquisite. Imagine a sexy cabaret show under the stars and a feast fit for royalty, all infused with a cheeky spirit and a healthy dose of play.
This night was an absolute delight for the senses!
The owner of this unique establishment is Pierre Menu, my best buddy. Pierre is a French gentleman with a contagious passion for life and a talent for bringing people together to create unforgettable experiences.
The name “Mostly” has a fun story.
One sunset—margaritas in hand—we were discussing our next steps in life. Pierre already owned a wildly popular vegan restaurant called Zest. When he found a great location for a second restaurant, he considered creating another Zest.
But he lamented, tormented by his love for cheese and meat… “I am French after all!”
So, with a giggle, the suggestion arose to simply serve mostly vegan food.
Less than a year later, "Mostly" opened its doors!
Pierre developed the concept, found funding, designed and built the space, created a new menu (including all his favourite foods), and assembled an incredible team. The location creation was gorgeous, and the launch party was a sweet celebration of creativity and efficiency.
Now, three years on, it was heartwarming to be a part of another celebration. Watching Pierre thrive and his restaurant flourish filled me with pride. I had a front-row seat to experience the joy of the night, and it was my gift to capture it through my lens.
The atmosphere was electric, the mood was invigorating, and the talent was mesmerising! It was more than just a party; it was a tribute to a man who turns dreams into reality and a team that makes magic.
