Love Shapes Us
In the great dance of life
the people we press ourselves against
form the shape of us.
Some hurt. Some heal. Some stay.
All leave their mark.
How we hold them.
How we let them go.
Becomes who we are.
And the parts of ourselves,
given up and surrendered,
make the whole of us.
For a season, a reason, or a lifetime?
It doesn't matter.
Love shapes us.
