The Yawanawá are an Indigenous people of the Brazilian Amazon. They carry a living relationship to spirit and land, and a message that feels both ancient and urgently present.

In a concert, closer to ceremony than performance, I was moved.

Humble, heartfelt, and powerful, their voices rumble with intention. The kind that feels inherited, not rehearsed. Honoured to stand so close and offer up this creative homage.
